April's Bookclub

We had a wonderful afternoon lunch and great discussion! It was also Penni's birthday so LaDawn had a cake and candles so we could all celebrate. My granddaughter, Alyssa helped Penni blow out her candles!

Next month book club will be May 27th, Tuesday at noon at LaDawn's. We will be reading chapters 13-16 of Jesus the Christ and "Master" by Toni Sorenson.

Other books we will be reading are: (we talked about taking a break for the summer but we all wanted to finish Jesus the Christ by the end of the year - so we will continue through the summer)

June 25th - "At Home in Meford" Metford series by Jan Karon

July 29th - "Price Caspian" by C.S. Lewis - (as the movie is coming out)

Aug 26th - "Twelfth Angel" by Og Mandino - (John has been asked by an old friend to manage his old little league team, the angels.

Sept 16th - "Founding Mothers" by Cokie Roberts (the women behind the founding fathers of our nation)
