Our next Book Club will be July 29th. We will be reading "Prince Caspian" by C.S. Lewis. We will also be reading the next 4 chapters of "Jesus the Christ." I believe that puts us at chapters 21-24 for July.

For August we will be reading "Twelfth Angel" by Og Mandino. (I've seen it for as low at $.75 for a used copy online at Half.com and on Amazon for as low as $1.95 plus shipping which is usually $3.49. These two sites were the only ones I've checked. Other sites may also have great prices too. We hope by planning ahead you can get some great prices on the books we're reading or that you'll be able to find them at the library.) Also, of course, we'll be reading the next four chapters 25 - 28 of Jesus the Christ.

Sept. 16th for Book Club we will be reading "Faith in Service" complied and illustrated by Chad S. Hawkins. It's currently on sale at Seagull and Deseret Book. And, of course, we'll read the next four chapters in Jesus the Christ, 29 - 32. (By reading 4 chapters a month, we're planning to finish Jesus the Christ by the end of the year.)

Mom & Me will be this Wednesday at 10 am at the park by the Fitness center and MVH. It will be the first Wed. of the month. Bring your sack lunches if you'd like and have a great time together!

Out to lunch bunch - July 7th - next Monday at 11 am. Meet at Pam Grange's and we'll carpool. We're going to Ginger's Garden Cafe in Springville. We're trying to introduce everyone to some different places you may have not tried before or even known they were there! Next on August 4th we'll be going to BYU for lunch.

Make a note on your calendar our next Home Family and Personal Enrichment meeting will be September 16th! For our Enrichment in November we would like to have another craft evening to prepare for Christmas giving. If you have a craft or have seen something you think would be fun to do, please let me or LaDawn Ludlow know. We are starting to put some ideas together so let us know soon.

Remember, if you'd like to join the group on Thurs. to attend a temple session just call LaDawn and let her know and she'll pick you up!

Please watch the Sunday bulletin for preparedness ideas from Marilyn Powell. She is trying to help us follow the counsel of our prophets by getting better prepared.

If you have any questions or if you know of anyone who does not get these announcements and would like to, please let me know (Especially any of our new move-ins).

Love you all and hope to have you join us if you have time in your schedule!

Joan's Scandinavia Highlights

We went to this church today. The story was retold in a recent conference, but I remember it being told originally. President Kimball was visiting this cathedral with 2 or 3 of the Quorum of the Twelve. He told a caretaker here that, “While you have statues of Christ’s 12 Apostles, these men are REAL apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ on the earth today!" This cathedral is a few blocks from our hotel in Copenhagen.

Here is a picture of what very well could be Grame’s mother’s home when she left Sweden for Utah at around 10 years of age. It's a neat story of how we literally stumbled across this home.
