72 Hour Kits @ My Sister's Kitchen

Here are photos from our class on "72 Hour Kits" taught by Pam Grange. Pam told us of her research and how she put 72 hour kits together for her children and their families for Christmas. She gave us some excellent ideas and wonderful handouts.
Kim Hooper and LaDawn fixed a light snack of chicken cream puffs, a relish tray and eclairs.

January Birthdays in Relief Society

Happy Birthdays to those Relief Society sisters who celebrate in January:

5th - Ann Lewis
6th - Deb Rosen
6th - Danielle McKeon
26 - La Von Farley

And since February 3rd is Fast Sunday, and publication of the next newsletter, I might just add that ARELY MONTERROSA celebrates on February 4th.

Happy Birthday, everyone -- and Happy New Year!

Scrapbook Night on Jan 24th at 7:00 PM

This month we will do a full two page scrapbook layout and a thank you card. The cost will be $4. The paper that comes with the card is out of print so the card will be this same design but with different paper. Still cute! Take a look at this layout and sign up early so I can order enough. I need to know by January 16th! Thursday, January 24th at my house, 7:00 PM. See you here! -Carly Stockle

Recipes for Kettle Corn and Caramel Corn

I told those who came to my home for treat exchange night the first of December that I would get them the recipes for the kettle corn and caramel corn we made that night. -Jan Hornberger

Caramel Corn
1 1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup Karo syrup
2 squares butter
Boil for 1 minute. Pour over popped corn. (there is enough for a large bowl of popcorn)

Kettle Corn
I use a "Back to Basics" stove top popper. I know there are several other brands of stove top poppers - mine has a handle which lets you stir the corn as it pops.

1/3 cup popcorn
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup olive oil
